Why Voluntaris?
Cala Morell is a privileged place not only for summer holidaymakers but also for its residents and visitors throughout the year. It faces many pressures in terms of sustainability of the residential development (“urbanización) and the preotecion of its natural and historical heritage.
As volunteers, we wish to protect this valuable area of nature that welcomes our community of neighbours and visitors, by prioritizing the genuine conservation and maintenance of Cala Morell and the protection of its environment and archaeological capital.
In the face of the problems and challenges affecting our Cala and its surroundings, such as litter, illegal waste, pollution, wild parking, water waste, and inconsiderate use of resources, we wish to unite the efforts of people of goodwill to foster a sense of shared responsibility and promote good practices that help mitigate the impacts of, among other things, the water crisis, fire emergencies, and the alteration of native flora and fauna.
We trust in a collaborative dialogue with municipal and island authorities, as well as with other entities devoted to the care and protection of Menorca’s natural and historical capital.
